  • A clinical consultation is an appointment with an experienced pharmacist to discuss symptoms, concerns, or medication-related issues. We’ll assess your situation, provide advice, and recommend next steps - which may include treatment, monitoring, referral, or prescribing where clinically appropriate.

  • Possibly - but only where clinically appropriate and within the correct service (minor ailments consultations do not include prescriptions).

    Prescriptions are only issued following a clinical assessment and where appropriate. Not every consultation will result in a prescription, and some conditions may require referral to your GP or another healthcare provider.

  • Yes: many patients come to us because they’re unable to get a timely GP appointment.

    We offer private clinical consultations to assess symptoms, review medications, and advise on treatment options. Where appropriate, our pharmacist prescribers may issue a private prescription or guide you on the best next step.

  • Online consultations (UK-wide) are suitable for:

    • Advice and assessment

    • Medication reviews

    • Ongoing or non-urgent issues

    • Situations where a physical examination isn’t required

    • The online silver tier consultation does include a prescription where clinically appropriate.

    In-person consultations (Edinburgh) are recommended when:

    • A physical assessment is needed

    • Monitoring (e.g. blood pressure) is required

    • Treatment is delivered on-site

    • You prefer face-to-face care

    • The in-person silver tier and gold tier consultations do include a prescription where clinically appropriate.

    If you’re unsure, we recommend starting online: we’ll advise if an in-person visit is more appropriate.

  • Yes. Our online clinical consultations are available UK-wide.

    In-person appointments are offered at our clinic in Edinburgh only.

  • We commonly support patients with:

    • Minor illnesses and infections

    • UTIs/cystitis

    • Shingles

    • Tonsilitis

    • Skin conditions

    • Medication queries or continuation

    • Acute symptoms requiring assessment

    • Access-to-care issues when GP services are unavailable

    If your concern falls outside our scope, we’ll signpost or refer appropriately.

  • No. We are a fully private pharmacy and clinic so we do not offer any NHS services or dispensing.

  • The Gold tier consultation is specifically for acute infections, where for a higher price you get a consultation and prescription, with all your medicines and over-the-counter symptomatic relief and immune support, included in the price.

  • Most consultations last between 15-30 minutes.

  • Don’t worry.

    If you’ve booked a consultation that isn’t suitable, we’ll advise you and help redirect you to the most appropriate option.

  • No.

    All prescribing decisions are made following an individual clinical assessment. A prescription is not guaranteed and will only be issued where clinically appropriate and within the prescriber’s scope of practice.
