Need your Covid booster? Look no further.

Due to the prevalence of viruses such as the flu, COVID-19, RSV and pneumonia, it is recommended that if you want a booster vaccine, you can do so no more frequently than every 6 to 12 months.

Getting a COVID-19 vaccine is no guarantee that you won’t get COVID-19, but it may help your body to fight the infection and reduce its transmissability.

What is the COVID-19 vaccine?

The COVID-19 Vaccine is formulated to protect you from prominent strains of COVID-19 which you are likely to encounter this Winter. This does not mean that you definitely won’t catch COVID-19, it just means you might not have as serious an illness, or that you’re less likely to pass it on to others.

We are currently between COVID-19 vaccines, meaning we have limited stock of both the Pfizer Comirnaty LP.8.1. Vaccine and the Moderna Spikevax JN.1 vaccine.

The Covid Vaccine - FAQs

  • The Covid-19 vaccine we offer functions as a booster for people who have previously had a full vaccination for Covid.

    It is recommended to receive this jab annually, at the start of each Winter season, as this covers the period where Covid-19 and other viral respiratory infections are most prevalent.

    If you’d like to receive the Covid-19 vaccine outwith the Winter season, please check this page for availability.

    You can have the Covid-19 vaccine, no more frequently than every 6-12 months.

  • To be eligible for a Covid-19 vaccine, you must:

    • Be over 12 years of age

    • NOT have received a Covid-19 vaccine in the last 6 months

    • Have NEVER had an allergic or anaphylactic reaction to a Covid-19 vaccine, or any of the vaccine’s ingredients or excipients

    • NOT be unwell at the time of vaccination

    • NOT be immunocompromised

    • Be able and willing to consent to a consultation, prescription, administration of the vaccine and the storing of your data.

  • The COVID-19 vaccine reduces the risk of you contracting COVID, and of you passing it onto other people.

    Those who are in close contact with people who are immunocompromised may be recommended to receive the COVID vaccine to protect others.

    While we can make recommendations on the basis of extensive research and clinical trials, we’ll never pressure anyone into receiving the vaccine. The ‘need’ for the vaccine must be the decision of the patient.

  • Yes. Vaccines are never 100% effective for everyone, but having a COVID-19 vaccine does reduce the chance of you catching COVID-19.

    The more people are vaccinated, the lower the risk for both people who are vaccinated but for whom the vaccine is not effective; and for people who are not vaccinated.

  • Yes. You can still catch COVID-19 or a number of other viral illnesses after you’ve had the vaccine.

    You can reduce the risk of becoming ill by washing your hands regularly, covering your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing, and binning dirty and used tissues.

  • Many people are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine through the NHS. We recommend you contact your GP or local health authority for more information.

    If you want the vaccine on the NHS, we unfortunately are unable to assist with this as we are a fully private pharmacy, so you will have to speak to your GP.

  • For each visit you need, you’ll have:

    • A full consultation with the pharmacist, who will assess the suitability of the vaccine for you and be able to answer any questions you may have

    • The vaccine prescribed by the pharmacist

    • A patient-information leaflet from the manufacturers of the vaccine

    • The vaccine administered by the pharmacist

  • The Covid-19 vaccination service costs £99 per person. This is the same price as our previous vaccines!

    From October 2025, you can get your Covid-19 and flu vaccines done in the same appointment. Just ask on the day!
