For maintenance sessions, you should attend around every 3 months or as needed.

  • Laser treatment isn’t right for everyone. It’s important we make sure the treatment will be safe for your skin.

To be eligible for treatment, you must be:

    • able and competent to consent to laser treatment

    • not be taking certain medicines, including:

      • any hypoglycaemic medicines

      • any treatments for cancer

      • medicines used to treat skin conditions (such as Roaccuatane, Aknemycin etc.)

      • medicines to treat rheumatoid arthritis

  • Laser skin rejuvenation works by delivering controlled light energy into the deeper layers of the skin, where it gently heats the dermal tissue. This encourages resurfacing, by gently damaging the outer layers of the skin and encouraging new, healthier skin cells to take its place.

Rather than using high, aggressive energy, the treatment uses low-level energy delivered in rapid pulses. These pulses build heat gradually within the skin, a process known as volumetric heating. This allows the skin to be stimulated without damaging the surface.

Melanin (the pigment naturally found in the skin) absorbs this light energy. Areas with higher pigment absorb more energy, which creates gentle, targeted heating in those cells.

This controlled thermal effect encourages the body’s natural repair response. The immune system helps clear away damaged cells, and this process stimulates fibroblasts — the cells responsible for producing collagen and supporting skin structure.

Over time, this leads to improved skin texture, tone, and firmness, using the skin’s own regenerative mechanisms rather than artificial fillers or surface damage.

  • The number of treatments will vary from person to person depending on their medical history, skin-type and recovery. We average around 3-6 sessions per patient before we move onto maintenance sessions.

  • A patch test is a (very) quick consultation, at least a few days before your planned treatment.

It allows us to see how your skin responds to the laser and other products used as part of the service. A patch test can also allow us to determine the best settings for the laser against your skin type.

We can usually see in the appointment how your skin is responding, and any lasting sensitivity typically resolves within 24 hours.

We will not proceed with laser treatment without a patch test.

  • TrilogyIce offers fantastic results, with minimal discomfort and fast treatments. The laser is very versatile, treatments don’t require any downtime and are generally considered very effective.
