What is Aster?
Aster is the online weight management service created and operated by Pharmacy Clinic Edinburgh.
Its aims are simple: keep weight management affordable, accessible and straightforward.
We don’t want patients to feel trapped in a weight-loss programme, and we aim to provide the human and clinical support that is often lacking with other online providers.
Who runs Aster?
Aster is operated and governed by Pharmacy Clinic Edinburgh (us!).
This means Aster is:
operated by a GPhC registered pharmacy
operated by staff with extensive experience offering online weight management services
governed and operated in line with GPhC standards for the best practice of clinicians offering online consultations and weight management medicines
In-person services
The creation of Aster does not mean we are stopping all in-person weight management services.
We can still help if:
you are an existing patient and you’d like to stay on your current subscription
you require a one-off prescription for weight management medicines (see our consutation services)
you would prefer to come into clinic for your Aster consultations rather than complete them online (you’ll still need to complete your questionnaires and check-ins before attending your appointment)
