Mariam Al-Hajaj

Mariam is one of our clinical pharmacists. She is currently awaiting annotation on the GPhC register as an Independent Prescriber, having recently passed the course at the University of Birmingham!

Mariam completed her hours in practice with us, which has seen her utilise her skills in prescribing for a wide range of conditions, from common clinical conditions like urinary tract infections to prescribing for forgotten medicines, weight management services, to travel health services.

Prior to joining us, Mariam was a pharmacist for the weight management service at an online pharmacy. In her time in this role, she developed a broad and thorough understanding of GLP-1 and GIP medicines used for weight management, as well as the importance of proper exercise and nutrition in maintaining healthy weight loss. We’re very excited that she brings this wealth of experience to our own weight management clinics.

Mariam is also a fantastic travel clinic pharmacist, giving travel vaccinations, anti-malaria tablets and altitude sickness prevention where needed.

This Autumn and Winter, you may get your Winter vaccinations completed with Mariam, as she joins us for her first year as a vaccinator!
