Frequently Asked Questions
-
If you have a digital prescription, most pharmacies will not dispense it if it does not originate from the UK. This is because they cannot verify the prescription is legitimate and it being dispensed may not be tracked.
In the case that you can’t get your digital prescription filled, and the medicine on it is Prescription Only in the UK, you will need a UK-based prescription in order to obtain it. (This is where we can help!)
-
In the UK, there are laws which dictate what requirements a prescription must meet, in order to be considered a legal document, and thus dispensed.
This includes that the physical (hand-signed) prescription must originate from within the EU or EEA and it should meet the prescription standards of a UK prescription.
This means if you have, for example, a Brazilian or American prescription, it cannot be filled here.
We are still able to help you with your prescription: you would need a UK-based prescription, and we have a prescribing pharmacist who may be able to assist you. Pop in to see us, or book an online consultation!
-
We are a fully private healthcare provider, and we don’t work with any insurance companies. This means when you pay for your services you pay out of pocket.
We are absolutely happy to provide your receipt and additional paperwork for an additional cost, which you can use to try to claim money back from your insurance if you’d like to.
-
You can reach us by phone during opening hours or by email outside of opening hours.
-
For a consultation and prescription service, whether online or in-person, you’ll pay a standard fee.
If you choose to receive medicines dispensed from us, or additional supporting paperwork, there are additional variable charges.
-
Before we answer this, it’s important that you know in a medical life-threatening emergency, you should call 999 and ask for an ambulance.
If you have an urgent issue which is serious but not life threatening, we can usually help. If you need to be seen right away, just give us a call and we’ll squeeze you in!
If we’re currently closed, visit our consultation and prescription page and select the first available appointment.
